A Journey Through Psalms (70)

Psalm 70

This short Davidic psalm opens and closes with a cry to God for help and salvation. Each cry carries a sense of urgency.

Sandwiched between these two cries is a prayer for his enemies to be humiliated, and for those who seek God to be filled with joy and praise.

David takes a moment amidst his cry for help to ask for God’s just will to be done on the earth. Our crises should always be opportunities to pray that God’s will be done. Amen.
