Psalm 67
This short psalm is focused on entreating God for His favour upon His people, so that all the earth will know and praise Him for His justice, guidance, and abundant provision.
The psalmist is convinced that the natural response to seeing God’s saving ways is praise from all peoples. So he seeks God’s blessings as a means of drawing praise to His name.
Although the psalmist begins and ends with a prayer for and declaration of divine blessing, its body reveals the writer’s heart – to see the nations burst out in songs of praise to God.
To what end do I desire God’s favour and blessings?
