The Price

No more words
Can be spoken.
Power changed hands
When Mammon
Moved from one to another
And virtue’s roaring
Was silenced
While greed quietly
Prevailed as conscience
Was put to sleep.
Tears arrive late
As the long arms of
Of Wickedness
Wreak untold havoc.
The lambs can now be slain
In quietness:
The price has been paid
