Abraham may not know my name
Israel may not recognize me
I may be unknown in high places
Or unrecognized among the great
And though I were as little as an ant
Or as weak as a kitten
Surely You are my Father!
Whether I be labeled a failure
Or counted among the successful
Whether outstanding among men
Or just a number in the population
Neither makes a difference to me
For this I know without a doubt:
Surely You are my Father!
For I am born of divinity,
Carried by everlasting arms
Kept by limitless grace
And gifted with eternal life
No matter my lot in life
I am unashamed and unafraid for
Surely You are my Father!
You are my Redeemer from eternity
Who saves me from destruction
And sustains me on the path of life
Who numbers the hair on my head
Cares for me with compassion
And showers me with good gifts
Surely You are my Father!
